Elements
It's a term so basic. Yet it may have many diverse meanings. It's open ended to perception. Anything can comprise of elements. May it be referring to someone's day, someone's life or our plain old periodic table. An element can be regarded as a part of just about everything.
Here, let us talk about elements with respect to life.  If we draw a comparison between life and matter, we can easily assume the people in it as the compounds or molecules making up the matter. Similarly the emotions running the people can be regarded as the atoms or the building blocks of matter. All of these components can be regarded as elements.
So in this equation, which element is the key to everything? Is it the people? the emotions running those people? Or is it life itself (Considering our life to be an element of the universe that is filled with a thousand different life forms)?
I think the most important element is emotion. Nothing in life can run without emotions. No action, no desire, no passion, no relationship, no career, no hobby, nothing in our lives can ever run without emotions driving it.
The depth of every purpose or ambition, can be calculated by measuring the amount or intensity of emotions invested in it. If life feels unbalanced and dark, it's cause the dark, sad emotions are working in an overdrive mode, if life feels happy and enthusiastic, it's cause the colorful emotions are driving it.
This means, when words of wisdom asks us to throw out people that bring us down, in reality we aren't throwing out the people, we aim at throwing out the emotions that drive those people. No one likes a person functioning on vanity or arrogance. What is the point of having a flamboyant life with all the riches in the world if the elements building your life, and you, are shallow and unfavorable? Is there any sense of being cut throat and mean? No one would want you to be an element in their life, and in return, no one would want to be one in yours.
The crux of everything in the end is emotion. Whether it is good or bad, sweet or mean, weak or rigid, everything in our life is governed by emotions. The making or breaking of how worthy your life is in the end, is only in your hands. Choose your elements wisely and you shall live a deep, rewarding and love filled life, choose them otherwise and you may end up loving your furniture as a substitute for people.

LAWS OF ATTRACTION

Every body today must have heard of 'the secret', may it be the movie or the book; it was a best seller. Well, has it ever made you wonder, does it really work that way? is the universe really working on giving us everything we want? do we all have the power of getting a "happily ever after" after all? or is it all just a load of bull crap? I mean think about it, there are tonnes of people in Bombay, dying to get a breakthrough in the bollywood industry. Like literally, dying. Sleeping on pavements, eating shitty food and living in rehabilitated buildings, paying crazy amounts of rent. Yet, despite all  their strife, most of them dilute away. Not even finding a space in the credit line at the end of a film, documentary or commercial. If the Law held true, wont everybody be a rockstar?
Similarly, there are tonnes of people in Delhi trying to be entrepreneurs. May it be a textile shop, or an agency. They all start off with the undying faith that they will succeed. That they will make it through. That they shall be the next 'happily unmarried' or 'chumbak'. But somehow, despite all that faith and belief, many of them end up quitting what they started. Losing their direction.

So if you think about all these things, weighing all the circumstances, may it be from your life, or from another. Do you actually believe the universe actually just blindly gives you whatever you attract? may it be good or bad, you think the universe attracts everything to you?

I may contradict a lot of people here, but somehow I fail to believe in this law blind-foldedly. I mean i do believe in it, but partly. I think the universe is like a very wise kid. Actually i think its like a genius 20 year old. It works on laws of attraction all right, but with a filter in one hand. I believe the universe actually fliters out everything you attract, the saying that " you cant get everything " holds greater value in reality. We all wish for brilliant friends, amazing family, that one true love and all the riches in the world. Do we end up getting ALL OF THE ABOVE though? No, somewhere or the other, we eventually have to compromise. We may find amazing friends, but not our true love. Or we may succeed crazily in life, but still feel empty cause of the loneliness. That I think is the actual law of the universe. Balance in everything. For every good day, there has to be a bad one. For every heart ache, there has to be fun. For every goodbye, there has to be a greeting. For every success there has to be failure.

Thats how i believe the universe works, by giving you what you desire, yes. But only to an extent. You really cant have everything, thats just not right. Even the universe understands that. The day we have everything, is the day we stop trying to be more than we are. The day we stop having a purpose, right?

So maybe the secret isn't that you get everything you attract, maybe its getting what you deserve to get, according to the universe. Be good to the universe, it'll be saint to you. Be a bitch to it, it'll come bite you in the ass!
